Chicago: Best Photo Spots

After surviving a Chicago winter, I think it’s safe to say I’m officially a local. While I love discovering new spots around the city, what I enjoy even more is finding cool places to take photos! Chicago is a photographer’s (or in my case, a photo-taker’s) dream.
Whether you’re here for a day or have been around for a while, grab a friend, or set up your tripod and capture some amazing shots in the Windy City!
Here is my list so far. Don’t forget to enjoy the stroll while you navigate to these places.
1. Chicago Theater

2. The Bean

3. Wings of Mexico (Wings of Freedom)
Stand in front of these artistic wings for an epic shot. Who doesn’t like flying?

4. Buckingham Fountain

5. Linoln Park Zoo
Lincoln park zoo is best during the Christmas lights but you can experience this free zoo all year aorund.

5. Start of Route 66
Highway 66 begins here and goes all the way to Santa Monica Pier in California.

6. Riverwalk
Riverwalk is 1.25 mile and is looks pretty wherever you click the picture.

7. Architecture tour
If you do the archiecture tour, you can not only get great pictures of buildings but yourselves as well.

8. Bridges and space after bridges
My top pick? DuSable Bridge. The view here is unbeatable— Chicago’s skyline, the river, and the city’s energy all in one frame. Right after the bridge, as you head down to the Riverwalk, you’ll find even more great spots. Chicago’s many bridges all make stunning photo backdrops. Find your favorite and strike a pose!

9. Lake Michigan
This photo was taken on 63rd beach along lake shore drive.

While I continue exploring, I’ll keep expanding this list. Do you have a favorite photo spot in Chicago? Let me know if there’s a hidden gem I’ve missed!
